instructions also in the readme.txt inside the torrent

1. install minecraft 1.6.2, run minecraft to create stuff that it needs automatically like dirs, profile w/e, then close it
2. run forge jar to install client (789 version)
3. run minecraft launcher and select forge profile, perhaps run minecraft then close it
4. copy forge mods from mods that work with forge 789 in .minecraftmods dir (restart minecraft) then run it and observe if the mods have been loaded
5. for shader packs you copy shaderpacks dir in .minecraft dir then in options you got a new shaders options to change it (it doesn't seem to work with optifine, so it's either shaders or optifine) - I use seus's v10
- right now you have a working version of minecraft 1.6.2 with mods -
6. copy MagicLauncher_x.x.x in .minecraft (it doesn't work if you put it in a directory where it can't find something it needs), run MagicLauncher_x.x.x, setup, pick forge environment
7. optifine needs in magic launcher for you to go to setup > advanced tab and in the field "Parameters" add "-Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true" ;also increase memory available if you have it, I choose 2048
8. click add (near the above box in setup) in magic launcher and add the mods that work with magic launcher (for mo's creatures go into the dir and select all the files in there)
9. press ok, type in user and pass, click login, click login again after it spans a browser tab, the click play offline after it fails to log in, play with lotsa mods
10. copy LB Photo Realism x256 10.0.0-converted-1374012707213.zip in .minecraftresourcepacks, then choose it in game for different textures
11. at this point start the game each time with magic launcher to get all the mods loaded
- now you got more working mods with minecraft 1.6.2. -
- tweaks -
12. remove HerobrineMod_1.6.2_2.3 from .minecraft/mods (I really don't appreciate the zombie cows that drop no meat and multiply like rabbits, but it's up to preference)
13. I suggest using falling blocks: vanilla else some of your world caves will collapse and that kind of sucks, but it's up to preference, experiment to find your setting

note: if it gets stuck at converting world while creating world, end task and start over
note: check out your new hotkeys ingame, and checkout each of the mod features on the internet

Comments

14. correction, shaders work with optifine it sems

because mo creatures appear invisible if installed incorrectly:
15. the first steps should be done as such for max safety:
15.a. after installing minecraft, from launcher edit profile and pick version 1.6.2, and also go through tabs and select 1.6.2 where available, start minecraft and close it
15.b. after installing forge 789, from launcher edit profile and pick forge version (bottom of list)because it updates, and also go through tabs and select forge where available, start minecraft and close it
15.c after that, do the magic launcher steps, select forge environment, add mo creatures, and start minecraft, and test by pressing F6 and using instaspawner to spawn some bees for instance, they should buzz and you should see them

you can do just this to test, then add everything else
I figured out what went wrong, I needed to rename the directory where I added mo creatures with magic launcher from "minecraft 1.6.2 with 20+ mods, lots of shaders and realistic texture" to something simple like "mods". Now creatures are visible. Hope it helps
I figured out what was wrong, I needed to rename my directory from "minecraft 1.6.2 with 20+ mods, lots of shaders and realistic texture" to something simple like "mods", because the magic launcher couldn't pick up the path of the mo creatures mod I was giving it, either because of length, or because of the "+" in the directory name
I also recommend [1.6.2]verticalCut-1.2a.zip and airshipmod with this. First allows you to find diamonds fast, the second create an airship to reach the floating temples. Good luck, that's it
to make texture pack work, you have to give minecraft memory from magic launcher > setup > advanced > memory, or add to the environment variables JAVA_OPTIONS the value -Xmx4096m to give it 4GB for example
I realize that some of you might understand wrong "if it gets stuck at converting world while creating world, end task and start over", I meant restart minecraft and recreate the world, not reinstall game :)
